//'ello! apologies for him being a bit vanilla rn as he is still very confused.
many people had bad habits. they bite their nails, tap their feet, or blast themselves into another dimension on a whim.
alright so that last one was a bit personal. the bottom line is still the same as rick should never have made the blind journey that was fueled mostly out of frustration. now with a flash of green light, he had now idea where the hell he was. worse even, he had no idea who the hell he was. when crossing over, he must've calculated wrong and ended up tumbling down a ravine and knocking his head against a rock. just like that the so called "smartest man in the universe" was out cold. when he awoke, he realized he'd been carried away by debree of some sort. now he was in some kind of forest.
a very sore rick climbed off his life saving raft and on to dry land. his head was throbbing and an open wound over his left eye was bleeding slightly. most of it had already stopped. he paused momentarily to look himself over. his fur was a soaking mess, but otherwise fine.
wait.
fur.. f*cking fur?
despite not knowing anything about himself, the tom knew that something was extremely out of place. it felt so strange to be on four legs. confused, he stumbled back toward the water and peered over at his reflection. a scrawny white cat with bluish-grey markings and piercing yellow eyes stared back at him. he caught a glimpse of something silver glinting in the sunlight around his neck. using a paw (why was that so strange?) he lifted the chain up to where he could see what the tag read.

well that opened up more questions than it answered, but at least he had an idea of who he was. the name felt right so there wasn't much to question. with a grunt, he let the chain fall back to his chest and turned away from the water. it was early morning, but instinct told rick he wanted to get somewhere safe by nightfall. picking a seemingly safe direction, he trudged onward.

rick hadn't been on the journey long when he stumbled across a large tree covered in deep markings. a scent reached his nose and something inside told him this was someones territory. out of curiosity, he leapt onto one of the low hanging branches. he was extremely impressed with how far this body could jump. the spotted feline snaked his way up the tree until he had a good view of what was around.
tree, tree, tree, oh look another f*cking tree.
defeated, rick was about to come down when he spotted some sort of cave awhile aways from himself. he jumped down and was about to continue on when a sound made him stop. his body stiffened as the realization that he was most certainly not alone set it.
