Hello, hello! As hinted by the title, the purpose of this thread is for a character interest check. However, it is slightly more so to see precisely which character of mine that I should introduce as I honestly have no clue which one I should use. Therefore, I'll instead go by the interests of those who reply to this thread. Feel free to pick whichever character below you like the best. Thank you for reading this!
SILVER TONGUE // Piper Ale Whitte
━ Piper is a man of which only carries the clothes on his back, a few fragments of his memories from his past, and his name with him. A sufferer of short-term memory loss, he battles with his condition in attempt to satisfy his desire to learn all that he can from the world around him and from the remaining text of the people from before the disaster. As far as he can remember, he has been nomadic, wondering from location to location and group to group. He has grown distant from people, a feeling of emptiness and numbness lingering within him from which he has convinced himself is his inner hunger for knowledge. In reality, such feelings have sprouted from the loneliness and helplessness within him that originate from his way of living and the lack of a close relationship with anyone.
SOFTHEARTED // Maria Rae Fleur
━ A young woman who was born on the floors of a cabin shortly before the death of her mother; she was raised by only her father of which taught her everything she knows. She became fully blind at the age of twelve and yet, by some impossible means, has survived for this long in this ruthless world; though, her survival could be contributed to the fact that she learned how to echolocate by clicking her tongue to the roof of her mouth. Maria's nature is to be kind and caring towards others, and love even when she isn't loved in return. She is one for second-chances and firmly believes that there is good in everyone.
HAIR-TRIGGER // Damien Lark William
━ Damien is another man of which seeks knowledge from the world around him and is one of which likes to tinker and create. He carries a multitude of journals, chronicling all that he sees, who he encounters, and what happens to him. A sufferer of hyperplasia in his pituitary gland (which causes an abnormally high level of the human growth hormone), he currently stands at 8'3". A strong sense of pessimism gives him the belief that mankind will never re-achieve the technological advancement that they once held due to the anarchy and large groups being unwilling to cooperate. However, despite such a trait, his fascination with science and learning gives him the desire to see the technological advancements in action as he was born to late to catch it in motion. Damien can be best described as a bull-headed man who struggles with religion and the idea that everyone deserves a second-chance. He hides his softness under a thick shell of relentless anger that is intent on driving away any pain that could come with new relationships.
