Johannes had let the smaller one of the duo lead him into the kitchen, where the doors were closed and it would be private--the kitchen had thicker walls than much of the lodge, and was fairly soundproof,too. Though he doubted any voices would be raised, so that probably wasn't necessary. He just didn't want people...snooping. "What is it?" He asked, voice weary--but he didn't want to make guesses until Calum had explained himself.

• Johannes is asocial and has a hard time chatting; though he doesn't dislike people exactly, he's anxious in conversation and has an anxious stammer. It's easy to knock him off balance. However he is rather placating in conversation and tends to just listen and agree.

[align=center][size=8pt]Calum, almost out of paranoia, made sure to check behind him, looking around for Moksha to make sure the larger man didn't see him come in here with Joh. Awkward and a bit nervous, Calum gave Johannes that same sort of 'judgemental' doe eyed look he had on his face so often. There was a lot on his mind, he wasn't too good at hiding it. "W-well," he began, swallowing slightly, "I-I know that you and M-Moksha don't get along very well, so-so um, I guess you guys don't understand eachother?" Out of everyone Calum had ever known, Moksha was the hardest to begin to understand if you weren't around him twentyfour-seven. Advay knew him the best, Calum was a close second. And they both knew that on the outside, Moksha seemed almost entirely different from on the inside. At least morals wise. Some might even be surprised to know there was a whole different side of his personality in there too. Calum just wanted to maybe explain one thing about Moksha to Joh, that might make it easier for the leader to understand why Moksha was the way he was. Maybe make it easier to get along with him.
Johannes noticed his apprehension--and had to sympathize. He doubted Moksha would be fond of Calum talking to him--even if he and the guy were doing marginally better. Marginally. "...I...guess that...I mean--yeah, probably?" He'd be the first to admit he didn't understand Moksha--even if it took a bit of hi pride to do so. He wasn't so sure about vice versa--how could he know if Moksha knew the 'real' Johannes or not? "He--I just--" He paused. "I don't...know...how to...talk, to him." That was part of it.

"Except, uh, he doesn't like being talked down to," he frowned, staring down at his feet for a moment before muttering. "Like, um, so he's like...the difference between a cat and a dog, right?" He kind of held up two hands. "Some people are like dogs, and being told 'good boy' and given a small useless ball for reward is great! But Moksha's like a cat. Er, maybe more like a Lion. Telling him good job and patting him on the head doesn't work. You gotta give him some sustenance to go with or don't say anything. I think it makes him feel like other people are being demeaning if they..uh, do the other thing." He bit his lip, avoiding looking at Johannes and still looking over his shoulder, despite keeping his voice down. "Otherwise just um, respect I guess." Was this too much? He felt like Joh was going to yell at him.
Johannes was listening, but even as Calum spoke, he wasn't sure he...understood the problem. It wasn't until they'd finished speaking and he'd taken another moment to parse this, that he got an inkling. Oh. "..You think--what I said--that's just a pat. On the head." He hesitated, before asking-- "Right?" Just to make sure he hadn't missed the point. "I...Should I have just--stayed..quiet?"
