SYLMAE GREY

What was she doing here? She was barely even sure, herself, but she knew that she needed to find a place to call her own before she grew too detached from the real world. She spent a lot of time in and out of small settlements that were hiding from real civilization, taking care of themselves, something that she admired. Dependent on only themselves. She was tired of just coasting by on whatever little bit could be scrounged from the few buildings that still hung in the areas she found. It was time to put on her big girl pants and step into the real world, even if she didn't want to admit that she needed to join the big boys to get through life.

She hadn't quite decided where she was going until she saw a few of the signs and then the giant store that housed what she assumed supplies. She couldn't make out the name of the store from this distance, nor the building closest to it, but that was fine, she figured she would find out what it was sooner, rather than later. Shifting her feet against the ground, she stopped at what she assumed to be the borders for this territory and she huffed lightly. She didn't know what kind of people lived here, if there was anyone, but she wasn't about to get herself killed for trespassing on someone's land.

She groaned softly as she set her bags down and sat down on the ground, leaning back on the palms of her hands, staring up at the sky. At least she could catch a little sun while she waited for someone to come find her.

[align=left][justify]Ever since Cecil had gone, he hadn't been able to find any kind of solace. The pack of cigarettes he kept safely in his room was entirely empty, having smoked every single cigarette to the butt. He was so stressed that he was almost unable to sleep, the comfort of knowing the sickly man was out there somewhere, possibly dead was unnerving and he couldn't help but feel responsible. He had a simple job: protect Cecil, and he failed. How the hell was he supposed to lead a settlement filled with people when he couldn't even complete a basic task?

Wolfbite, of course, didn't externally show this stress and guilt he was experiencing other than the bags and dark circles under his eyes. He was tired and he was beginning to lose hope. It wasn't unusual for him to patrol around the city on his own, making sure things were where they were supposed to be and such. It was a walk that cleared his mind as best as it could, but he was still left with this overwhelming guilt that he felt nauseated. He spotted Sylmae on the ground, sunbathing and with a couple of bags with her. "Hey, there something you need?"

So, this place truly was inhabited, was it? That was a good sign, because she didn't really want to be seen sitting on the border of somewhere that wasn't really a place. That would just be foolish. Opening her icy blue eyes to look up at the man who had questioned her, she was almost shocked at the face that she saw. Never had she seen anyone who looked more worn out than he, something that made her wonder what went on here. She kept her face a blank slate, though, showing no signs of emotion as she pushed herself up from the ground and dusted off her pants and hands, eyes never leaving him as if she didn't quite trust him not to jump her and put her out of her misery. It wasn't like she trusted anyone, at all, anyways, something you learn after you've spent your life in complete hell.

Pushing her train of thought back onto why she was here, she crossed her arms over her chest and shrugged a little bit. "A place to stay, most likely. Tired of living on the run, fearing for my life." At least if she laid it all out for him, he might be a little more lenient on her, not put her through hell and make her jump through hoops. She honestly didn't think this was going to go over well, but she also didn't know how these larger civilizations worked. She expected most of them to be hard-asses with the intent to kill if you didn't give them a good enough reason to allow you to join. Not like this guy would win a fight with out exhausted he looked, but that still didn't mean there weren't people hiding in the shadows. She dug her toe into the ground under her feet and waited for the rest of this to move on. She didn't really feel like talking more than she had to.

[align=center][size=8pt]Advay wouldn't doubt that Wolfbite could. But, there were indeed people in the shadows, himself included. Quietly exiting a nearby alley with his three large dogs around him, he approached the leader and the newcomer. "I-I don't see why-why not," he said, shifting slightly under the large amount of clothes he wore. He looked bulkier under them, though really he was not. Around him crowded three dogs. A tan Husky, Atlantis, who stood next to Wolfbite for some attention, a chow named Africa, and a Samoyed named Aruba.
