Staff have been discussing potentially redeveloping our fantasy animal game, Wilderness Rising. We would love for writers to be able to express their creativity using different mediums on Bearbones, hence the decision to try to redevelop the game again! In order for this to become a reality, we would love for the redeveloped game to be member-led.

Groups would be based on what you would like to see, and large plots would be developed by all members of the game. Whoever leads a group will have full creative freedom over their group without control from staff (although we of course would encourage leaders listen to what their group members would be interested in, too!), as long as it adheres to general site rules.

Your character can also be whatever animal you want it to be, bar from very few exceptions. You would not be able to create a human character, or have any character with humanoid qualities, and dinosaurs are not permitted either. However, all other creatures - whether it be mythological or extinct, realistic or mutated, with powers or not - are more than welcome!

Would anyone be interested in this concept? If so, we would love your ideas on what you would like to see in the newly developed game. Unless otherwise requested, all old groups will be archived in order to make way for a more concise couple of groups in order to not spread the game too thin too quickly, and all new groups will be up to those interested in being the pioneers for this new, redeveloped game!

Additionally, if you know someone who isn't yet on Bearbones who may be interested in this concept, feel free to let them know that we are welcoming new faces in order to help us develop the new game. The more the merrier, after all!

i don't have any big ideas for the game, i'd just go with the normal 2-3 groups and just make sure there's a balance (one pro, one neutral, and one anti group might be good? of course if there's a lot of people interested then we can add more)

That was exactly what I was thinking too! I think we're totally on the same page. Starting with three groups that are all very different in their own right. I feel like it would be interesting to develop lore surrounding the history of WNR, as well as lore surrounding past political relations with the groups in order to set the scene.
