    It was like a process line. Edmund would shovel snow away from the front doors and Frank would shovel that snow aside and into its own pile. Sure, it probably was not the most efficient way to get the job done, but they still stuck to it regardless, too preoccupied by their very own quiet discussion. Hushed, as was expected by the two quieter Stirling-Moray brothers, but also sly in their own whispering campaign.

Frank tugged his gloves back on, them slipping lower down from around his wrists from the effort of throwing snow aside. ❝ I'm just over them gossiping to each other around us all the time. What the hell do they even have to talk about? ❞ Frank uttered quietly, icy blues flitting up to the Lodge before getting back to work and flinging a heap of snow aside. Ed frowned, sliding the shovel beneath a fresh mound of snow in thought.

❝ They have a lot to discuss. ❞ He finally admitted, Frank quiet yet glancing over to give Ed a quizzical look. ❝ They're probably wondering what happened to Dominik. Or why we're not talking about dad. ❞ ❝ I think they know a lot more than they let on. ❞ Ed grew quiet, nodding his head slowly before shoveling snow towards Frank.

❝ Julia wants to take over. ❞ Ed pointed out quietly, straightening up to look out along the treeline. ❝ What makes you say that? ❞ Frank frowned, looking over. ❝ Did you overhear them? ❞

❝ No. I just have a hunch. Why else would she bring everyone back? ❞

Frank sighed, carding his fingers through his hair as his gaze followed Ed's. ❝ Great. Just when things were beginning to look bright again. ❞

[align=center][div style="width: 390px; text-align: justify;"]phineas certainly wasn’t one for physical activity. he was small, most definitely had asthma, he would probably have a heart attach if he so much as went on a five second jog, but that hadn’t stopped him from trying to find things around the lodge to help with. edmund didn’t seem to trust him, but he seemed to have a pretty big family that he could make friends with.. maybe. but for now, he wanted to focus on the task at hand.

edmund seemed to be shovelling snow, which was probably very important considering the environment they were living it. snow piled up nightly, according to some of the older members of the lodge. it got to freeing temperatures and people needed to be able to leave the lodge without walking into a wall of snow. “i hope im not.. interrupting, am i..?“ the young teen asked, fiddling with his jacket zipper. “would you like some help, edmund..?”

    Eddie in some perspective set a good example for the Stirling name; stoic, blunt and absolutely ruthless. But sometimes, he was the absolute worst for the exact same reasons. The people of Flintlock Lodge would slowly begin to see the softer side to Edmund - a father of two, a faithful family man who'd do anything for the people of the Lodge - yet even his softest edges could cut like a serrated edge.

He used to try hide the resting bitch face, but at this point it was a signature look on him.

Upon hearing Phineas approach, Ed flitted his gaze up quickly. ❝ No, no you're good. ❞ He dismissed quietly, considering his question before continuing, ❝ If you're happy to help, that'd be useful. There are... shovels just around the corner there. ❞ He pointed to several feet away before continuing to shovel. He was quiet, eyes flitting towards Frank momentarily, before he asked the teen, ❝ So what made you choose to come to Flintlock? ❞

[align=center][div style="width: 390px; text-align: justify;"]there was y a moment of hesitation, phineas had shuffled his way to grab a shovel, returning and looking towards edmund. why has he chosen flintlock? it wasn’t exactly sure. had it been for survival? had he just wanted a new start? he didn’t know himself, so he shrugged slightly as he started to shovel. “i’m not sure, sir.. i heard about it, so i decided i just.. wanted to come here..” he said softly, stabbing the shovel into the snow.

    Edmund's brows furrowed slightly at Phineas' reason, or lack thereof. He wouldn't have particularly cared if it weren't for the fact that it seemed strange almost. The boy without a history, turning up to Flintlock Lodge just because he heard about it. Ed accepted the answer though, choosing to simply nod as he continued to work.

Frank, who'd been working a couple of feet away in silence, however, pursed his lips in thought before piping up, ❝ You got parents? ❞ Ed froze, shooting Frank a brief look as Frank shrugged back.
