a 17 year old senior at SPA. one of the more popular/rich kids at school, although he hates it
his father is the owner of a major law firm in the area. basically, the lawyers of everyone else in the area
his family is long established in the area, a mixture of old money and a successful law firm. izaac's mother died during childbirth, and growing up he always suspected that his father blamed him for her death. as an only child, he was raised by nannies rather than his dad, as mr. taylor was more interested in the success of his law firm rather than raising his son. this early neglect led to many childhood problems, where izaac lashed out in attempts to get his father's attention. eventually, that stopped working too. upon entering junior high, he realized that those attempts were futile and just... gave up.
his life is lavish, but monotonous and boring.
it is in junior high when he first started getting into photography. freshman year, his art teacher recognized his talents and tried to get him to enter a competition, but when his dad found out, lets just say that Izaac never again practiced it in public.
Izaac is the stereotypical rich kid. He comes off as ice cold, and many people believe that he sees himself as better than everyone else. Iz regards most people coldly, lacking much emotion unless you belong to his small circle of friends. But just because he is in the popular group does not mean he likes them very much. He does not like most people, in fact. Going to such a prestigious school has led to a demographic of all highly intelligent and highly talented students. And frankly, Izaac is bored with it all. He is bored with people trying to suck up to the handsome rich boy, tired of people pretending to like him just because his father is powerful, tired of everyone's stupid games. Izaac is very cynical, and because of his lack of care, he tends to get into trouble. He gets good grades just so his dad leaves him alone, but beyond that he has a reputation of sleeping around and breaking hearts. He shows up at parties only to get pleasantly buzzed before leaving to spend time at home by himself. He harbors a secret love for photography and art, however. It is his own little secret - the one thing that the whole world does not know about him. He is really quite good at it too, but he does not plan to pursue a career in it because his megalomaniac father is already grooming him to inherit the family business. Izaac goes through his daily life, hoping that someone that breaks the common mold will find him and free him from his boredom. Someone that he can talk to about art, about philosophy. Someone who is not offended by his dry humor. He does not expect to find them though, mostly because his reputation as a terrible person precedes him.
