NICKNAME: "mord/mort" tends to be his most common nickname, acting simply as a verbal shortcut to pronouncing his full name. when interacting with those who have either learned of or have met him through his occupation, he is normally referred to as "doc." occasionally he does get called "dr. briggs" or solely by his surname, mostly by strangers in more formal settings,  and in extremely rare instances in the past has he been given endearing pet names, the most likely being "mordy/morty".
— DO THEY LIKE THE NAME?: he is mostly indifferent to most shortenings of his name, as he's heard them almost his entire life around family, peers, and most acquaintances. however, he's grown to slightly prefer "doc" more than anything; the years of studying his craft and his life-long goal of distancing himself from his family had caused him to develop a liking for semi-formal, anonymous titles over anything involving his own name. as for pet names, he will immediately become extremely uncomfortable and lost any respect for those who use them.

[color=#565656][b]HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'10 & 130 - 140 lbs. | mord is all-around average individual; he is not too tall or too short, nor is he overly skinny or otherwise. it is certain from the slightest glace that he isn't necessarily brimming with muscle, even before the widespread lack of nutrition caused by the blackout. his lean shoulders and narrow limbs that attribute to his smaller frame are much better suited for agility than strength, and it is apparent through careful observation that there is a certain amount of control and effortlessness in his movements that hint he may be more capable than he appears.

EYE COLOR & SHAPE: he has narrow, hawk-like eyes, that can both carefully mask as well as subtly reveal his thoughts and motives to the right person. pewter grey irises seem to reflect the shades of an oncoming storm, hooded and fringed with sweeping eyelashes.

SKIN TONE: relatively fair, occasionally becoming somewhat paler or peachier depending on the current climate. despite the natural veins across his hands and wrinkles along his forehead, his skin remains mostly unblemished and satin to the touch. 
— PROMINENT FEATURES: apart from his steely, piercing eyes, his pointed, aquiline nose, thin mouth, and sparse eyebrows tend to give off a deceitful, rat-like vibe to many he encounters. 

FACE SHAPE: ovular and slender; there is scarcely anything broad about him. hints of cheekbones reveal themselves under developing dark circles, and faint creases and smile lines are fairly visible beneath his scruffy facial hair.

DRESS STYLE & OUTFITS: he has a smart sense of fashion and comfort, and tends to pull off a fair mix of styles, from cozy layered shirts and hoodies paired with practical outwear, to sensible, flattering suits and ties, all in a range of unsaturated, low-profile colors. he almost never wears trousers that are too baggy, and his choices in shoes include a mix of both leather ankle boots, as well as black converse trainers. overall, he tends to be quite flexible and confident in his choice of clothing, all the while maintaining a messy-yet-polished aesthetic.
— JEWELRY: prior to the blackout, he almost always wore some sort of watch on his wrist, as well as a silver band or signet on his right hand. he also has pierced ears, but he isn't currently interested in wearing earrings. in addition, he now wears a traditional badlands necklace, signifying his affiliations.

GROOMING & HYGIENE: although scruffy and seemingly unkempt on the surface, mord cares quite a lot about how he presents himself. Depending on the setting, he will take a fair amount of effort to adapt and blend into whatever situation he finds himself in. Even in the apocalypse, he does his best to maintain mostly clean, especially his teeth; he frequently chews on mint leaves as well, allowing him to have a fresh breath at all times.

HAIR COLOR & STYLE & TEXTURE: mord's hair is a cool brown-black shade, currently streaked with pure silver on either of his temples, as well as a faint strand on his right side that finds itself included with the rest of his hairline. when grown out, his hair is rather soft and curly, although nowadays he keeps his locks just short enough to prevent his head from looking too wild. however, without proper styling, his hair tends to fluff up in all sorts of directions. if not left in a semi-tousled mess, mord will comb it into a clean, sleek side part.

SCARS: apart from minor nicks and scrapes, he has two large slashes across one of his shins, although they are essentially hidden.

SHORT VOCAL DESCRIPTION:
— VOICE TONE: mord has two main "variants" in his everyday voice; there is the clear, silvery tone, naturally light and somewhat gentle, although rarely ever changes in pitch unless he's panicked. he normally uses this tone when he's in a situation that requires him to seem friendly and commonplace, however, there are some times where he forgets to put enough emotion behind his words, and so come off as flat and insincere. the other counterpart is the low, raspy tone that sounds almost as if he's sick. although this croaky whisper may seem like his true villainous nature, this voice is much more honeyed and layered with his more convincing feelings to those who could see through his other tone. he only speaks in this tone when speaking alone with a single other person, or when he doesn't feel the need to project to a large audience.
— VOCABULARY: he has a rather large vocabulary, mostly due to his upbringing and choice of career. it consists mostly of medical terminology, various poetic verses and words, and a handful of slang he's picked up from other friend circles and groups he's come across.

— SWEARING: he doesn't mind swearing in the least, in fact, he sometimes uses harsher, less formal words to intimidate others, and to show he is confident and unafraid of taboo. he finds those who use such words too often less worthy of his time and respect. occaisionally, when frustrated, shocked, or exhausted, his words tend to become a bit looser and more colorful, although he rarely ever means it.
