people had settled down at the various tables throughout the cafeteria for their dinner, shoveling food into their mouths, and hayley found herself at a relatively empty one. hope was nestled into her carrier on the chair beside hayley's, napping happily despite the noise. she was hardly four weeks old, and already most members of the lodge had had their turn with her, be it sitting or holding the infant, and it only furthered the brunettes assurance in the group. this was exactly the place she wanted the baby to grow up in, and the people she wanted her daughter to know.
❝can i get everyone's attention for a meeting?❞ she called, not expecting anyone to stop eating, but hopefully they'd at least give her eyes and ears. ❝there isn't a whole lot to say right now. i'll be hosting a mandatory training session that i want everyone to attend; it's important i know who can fight, and that those who don't know how learn to defend themselves. i've also started an ambassador program, and those interested should consider signing up.
