Aquilino (Latin origin;
Eagle) |
Favreau (French origin;
A person who sold or grew beans).
• Somewhere between 20-43, lmao. Depending on the setting, he can be in his 20s, or in his late 30s/early 40s. Born March 19th (Pisces).
• Cisgender male; uses masculine pronouns for himself. His sexuality is mostly unknown, though he's possibly bisexual. Given his reservedness and (supposed) lack of interest in romance, though, it's not so easy to discern; he's relatively private about his history.
• ½ Spanish, ½ French. Born and raised in Spain, though he did spend many of his summers in France. Can speak both French and Spanish fluently, and is fairly okay with English, albeit not as adept as he is in his preferred languages. Takes longer to think over his words in English.
• Fairly quiet; doesn't often speak more than necessary. For him, silence isn't always rudeness - he can very easily go without talking for days, though he makes an effort to try and talk to people.
• Soft-spoken whenever he does speak. |

Reference #2 (longer; purple subtitles).
• Has a soft, contagious sort of laughter. He can't really stop when he truly finds something funny.
• Adult face claim is
Fabrizio Moro. |
References here. (More will be added as I find them.)
• Probably about 5'7-5'9? Most likely on the shorter end of that spectrum; not as tall as one might expect. Golden skin, dark eyes, dark brown / black hair. Has quite a lot of tattoos; gets most of them at a fairly young age and gradually adds to them as he grows older.
• He's not really heavily scarred at all. There may be a few on the backs of his hands, or in places that aren't exactly noticeable, but they're thin and mostly-faded. Has a smooth complexion.
• Has a really relaxed style. His of an outfit is grabbing some jeans / trousers and a t-shirt, and then he's good to go. Flannels are also popular, as well as jackets that are usually tied around his waist. May throw on a coat or a scarf if it's cold, but he's very much a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy.
• Imperfect sight; wears contacts and glasses to see properly. If wearing contacts, sunglasses are common; if he's rushing (which is more often than not), he sticks to his regular glasses.
• Aquilino is fairly anxious
much like most of my characters. He's a fairly withdrawn, closed character, and prefers to sit back, listen and observe before even thinking about jumping into any sort of social situation. He's definitely not the sort to take the initiative when it comes to conversation.
• He's surprisingly reckless when it comes to himself. He's typically the first of a group to leap from the ledge into the water below, the first to step into the dragon's lair. He's fairly self-destructive when it comes to it, but he tries to control his impulsive tendencies (with varying degrees of success).
• Regardless of his anxiousness and recklessness, he's a generally laid-back person, preferring to go with the flow as opposed to meticulously planning everything. He's very difficult to offend, and if he is upset by something, he rarely shows it, preferring to laugh things off rather than causing a scene.
• He's surprisingly passionate about the things and people he loves, and becomes an entirely different, almost energetic person when engaged on that level. If given the chance, he'll talk for hours about anything and everything he enjoys, and becomes much easier to draw out of his shell.
• He's better with children and animals than he is with other adults. He absolutely adores dogs (the bigger the better for him), though he has a (not so) secret soft spot for cats of all kind.
• Is absolutely terrified of crickets (the insects) and completely freaks out at the sight of them.
• Smokes habitually to calm his nerves, and has done since his mid-twenties. He's meticulous enough with his hygiene for the smell not to cling to him, but has yet to stop. He also drinks, but he doesn't do so excessively - he's far more controlled with alcohol than he is with cigarettes.
• Is completely addicted to waffle fries (maybe more so than cigarettes), but absolutely despises tomato soup for some unknown reason, and wouldn't touch it even if not doing so meant death.
• Would almost definitely be a rogue or some sort of support class in RPGs. He'd be a terrible mage, and he's no warrior, but as a rogue, he'd probably just pick locks and point out traps.
• In a Pokémon AU, he'd probably just have lots of rodents, domestic pet-esque Pokémon and ones that look fierce but are actually really cuddly. Would have a Plusle that never batted. His battling team is undecided, but he'd definitely have a Garchomp, a Pikachu and a Houndoom. He'd also have a mega evolution, but IDK what. Scizor or Charizard X, maybe. He probably has a Pichu and a Litten. Maybe a Growlithe. A quiet, determined, compassionate sort of trainer.
• Would be a barista or a high school/college teacher in a modern AU, probably. Biology, physics or history? Formerly a librarian or a preschool teacher. Soft jobs that let him help people and don't require too much noise on his part.
[spoiler=history stuff; messy]• Has one of the nicer backstories of any of my characters - his family is alive and well, for the most part, and there are no real strains in any of their relationships.
• Both his grandmother and his mother had their children young - his maternal grandmother had his mother when she was sixteen (16), and his mother had him when she was seventeen (17).
• If we say he's 43, his mother is 60, his father is 62, his maternal grandmother is 76, his maternal grandfather is 77, his paternal grandmother is 80, and his paternal grandfather is (unfortunately) dead. He died at 79, and was four years older than his wife.
• He has two brothers and a sister, all of which are younger than him. One brother is two years younger than him, his sister is three years younger than him, and the youngest brother is five years younger than him. He doesn't always see them, but he keeps in touch. As a side note, he's the only one of his siblings to not have a name beginning with the letter S. They often tease him about it.
• His mother's side is Spanish; his father's side is French. He'd spend most of his childhood years in Spain, though travel to France during the summers to see his father's side of the family. Most of the time, his maternal grandparents would come along too. The two sides of the family are still close.
