[div style="text-align: justify; width:490px;font-size:9.2pt; line-height:1.4"]//all right, so this game will be played between two groups, one led by Ellie and the other by Jo. Hopefully there will be an even number, but if there isn't, it shouldn't make too much of a difference. That will be sorted icly. So this challenge is a bit of a posting challenge, and the group with the most posts will get more slips into a "raffle" that determines which group's egg survives the fall (that will make sense more when Ellie explains the game). Within each group, the individuals with the most posts will be temporarily promoted to the rank of Ace. If it's shown they can accommodate the responsibility that coincides with the rank, they will be able to keep it; if not, then they will be restored to their rank of member.
If you have any questions, you can ask them here or PM either Rev or myself!
Ellie had worked to devise a plan of bringing the whole group together in a way that was more likely to attract and hold attention. She didn't believe simply bringing everyone together and sitting them in a circle to share names would generate the kind of interactions she wanted- talking alone wouldn't establish more familiarity, but working together toward a common goal in competition with others certainly would. Or she hoped it would, at least. It was something she and Jo were looking forward to, because it would be a fun game to test their strategies against each other, and Ellie had no doubt it would be difficult. Jo was a very agile thinker, which was what made this so appealing to try for Ellie, because she hadn't often engaged in intellectual spars. Not to mention it was killing two birds with one stone, encouraging cooperation among the members and putting the pair to the test. She hoped others would be as excited about it as she was, and she had even gone so far as to prepare more tea, as she had done with the last meeting.
There was a notice put out to congregate in the common area at this time, identical to her method of notifying the Lodge about the meeting. This would be much more entertaining than her standing in front of everyone and rambling on, though; she'd have to a little bit for the sake of explaining the game, but other voices would be heard much more often. She truly wanted that, wanted to better learn the people here, to learn their minds and individual styles of approaching problems. What kind of Director would she be if she didn't familiarize herself with those under her purview? A very lax one, indeed, and she didn't plan to be an uninvolved leader. Flintlock Lodge needed to flourish, not cripple further, and she hoped that maybe they could all find growth in each other.
"All right, as you can see, I have several eggs here, and a variety of odds and ends." She swept out a hand toward the table, where there were an assortment of items, from small pillows to toothpicks. This would be interesting, to say the least. "Jo and I are forming two teams, and we will pick those to be in our groups. Our goal is to protect these eggs from breaking when they fall from the barn roof." Her hands came together at her front. "As a reward, of a sorts, Jo and I are on the lookout for members who participate actively and demonstrate qualities we would like to see in an Ace. Which is to say, those individuals will be awarded the rank of Ace, and may keep it if they continue to display the traits we look for."
