what pokemon would people have? what are their nicknames? etc

i so badly want this to be a thing

Peter would honestly just go for speed and nothing else. He'd have:
- Ninjask named Neto, whom he met as a Nincada when Neto jumped out at him and knocked him on his ass.
- Electrode named Mercury, whom he loves to prank people with. They make a great team in prank wars, particularly due to Mercury’s electrical capabilities.
- Jolteon named Tric, whom he raised from an Eevee. They’ve been together for a few years now, as Tric was his second Pokémon, and they are as close as close can be. Peter can’t get over the fact that Tric is faster than him.
- Aerodactyl named Fraggle, whom Peter uses to fly shorter distances; Fraggle is almost the “old man” of Peter’s team, being now strong-willed and set in his ways than the others. It is not uncommon to see owner and Pokémon engaging in a somewhat one-sided argument.
- Crobat named Rocky, whom Peter uses to fly longer distances, and is the newest addition to his team. He used to have a Swellow filling this spot, but he decided to carry Rocky around with him more often just due to the fact that Crobat is larger and better at flying longer distances due to its four wings.
- Sceptile named Evan (his starter), whom he loves to death and would die for. The two of them often have races with each other to see who’s faster.

He would treat all of his Pokémon like his friends instead of pets or fighting machines, although he would get very competitive in battles.

tbh lorelai would probably have a bunch of cat/doglike type pokemon because she's a dork?? she'd have:
- a luxray
- an absol
- an arcanine
- an espeon
- a houndoom
- a liepard
she wouldn't name them because she'd be one of Those People

kjashkj benjamin would totally go for like?? just. practicality tbfh
- Male Typhlosion named Ty. He'd be Ben's starter, and he'd keep him warm while he was traveling or while he was living in cold climates.
- Male Lucario named Silver. He senses aura and guides Benjamin in that manner, so he's basically his eyes.
- Female Luxray named Glitz. She hunts for his food for him considering he can't do it himself and it has really keen eyesight.
- Female Absol named Luna. She appeared to him just before Ben went blind and took care of him afterward, so they bonded a whole lot.
- Male Gyarados named Sweet Prince / Prince for short. He raised a fucking Magikarp because he thought it was so cute. It now carries him over water while traveling and provides him water.
- Female Altaria named Poffin. She flies him places and is just?? She's so soft. He loves her so much and she's more used for comfort than actual flight.

sib would go for beauty mostly so he'd have:
- male glaceon, named gelaera / gela. honestly, he just found gela when he was just an eevee?? and he saved him from being attacked by an ursaring and he just kept him ever since.
- female milotic, named taelo / tae. used to cross rivers/oceans. but very affectionate and wraps around him when they sleep.
- male ninetales, named solix. more of a protector, usually defensive of siberas. keeps sib warm + protects everyone on their travels.
- male cinccino, named byssolli. fourth pokemon. mainly used for cuddles because his fur is so?? soft??
- male absol, named maxi. the second pokemon sib encounters. very aggressive toward him at first, but colette helped them bond. provides food. senses danger before it happens, so he's there to direct siberas from incoming danger.
- female furfrou, named colette. this would be his starter. she'd been a present for him for his 14th birthday. he left his home afterwards to become a trainer. she's like family to him tbh.

Mathias has one (1) pokemon and it’s a male sylveon named oriyn ! it was his sisters she raised from an egg and he was never really into the whole pokemon scene but after his sister was murdered the only thing he had left of her was her sylveon so he protects him with his life and can’t take on another poke bc he would feel to bad about not spending all his time on ori. his sister originally wanted him to be an umbreon and mat intended to evolve the then-eevee into that, but he gave it too much love and affection (for obvious reasons) that it evolved into a sylveon
part of him still resents himself for not evolving it into an umbreon bc that was all margaux ever wanted but he doesn’t take it out on ori

moral of the story is mat is sad and just wants the best life for ori bc his sister didn’t have one
