a fair match for jon in a swords match, if not better, but is best at archery.
fairly silent, but when he gets to know you, he's incredibly silly and enjoys pranks and such. he does like to curl up by the fire with a book sometimes, but not often now that he's joined the night watch.

tavi was the newest recruit to the night watch, and people had been staring at him for a while now. he had arrived late during the practice, and the officer was giving him a quick run down of the guard- but ravi wasn't listening. he was watching a man with oure black, curly hair, duelling a man twice his size.. and winning. he just walked from the officer, frowning and watching. "power takes strength, strength takes stamina, stamina easily wears out.. i wouldn't swing too heard." he said to the fellow bastard's opponent, who seemed to hesitate and soon tavi's sword was at his throat. "dead. don't hesitate." he said and looked at jon. "duel with me."

Jon had been dueling with a newer recruit. He was sent out to train some of the newer people. Needless to say this man needed work or he wouldnt last long out here. He glanced over when he spotted Tavi. A faint smirk twitched at the corner of his lips. "Impressive. But can you battle as good as you talk?" He asked. He took a step back, gripping the sword.

the male smiled slightly. "of say so." he said calmly, holding his sword loosely and letting his arms stay at his side. he knew jon would swing first, and boy was he in for a surprise.

the sword was brought up to block his blow, and then kicked him away by the chest plate and jobbed his sword just under his chin. it wouldn't cut him, it would get close. "dead." he said simply. "rely more on speed than power. you can easily be blocked with a slow blow, but swing quickly and you can slit someone's throat like-" he snapped, smirking. "that."

Jon flinched a bit. They had managed to draw in a small crowd who were watching them. They ere staring at Tavi with wide eyes. No one had managed to win against Jon yet so even on was a bit amazed.
