i couldn't stop it if i wanted ┊ DOUBLE JOINING - MAVERICK. - 05-14-2021 [align=center][div style="width: 400px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px; font-family: times new roman; letter-spacing: .6px;"]it had been awhile since maverick has felt content. life always seemed to enjoy being a shitshow for her ever since she was younger and her father decided he wanted to leave. she was always able to deal with the difficult cards she has been dealt, but for fuck's sake, she could use a break every once and awhile. the last few weeks had been a struggle to say the least, but things were finally starting to look up again, and it only grew sweeter with the nice weather they had been traveling into. there was a skip in her step as the duo walked along aimlessly towards the coast, throwing the tennis ball for simba whenever he would bring it back to her. there had been an obvious tension between the two ever since they had ran away from home. there seemed to be an unsaid agreement that they both knew they needed to talk about it, but there hasn't been a right time for a conversation like that. it wasn't new for maverick to push towards everything head first, but things were different with charlie. the two had a long history of maverick always admitting her feelings, charlie very vaguely beginning to mention his and then pushing her away, it was an endless cycle they always seemed to be stuck in. mav didn't wanna scare him away again, deciding it would be best to just go with the flow and wait for him to be ready. afterall, he was charlie and she was maverick; the two were written in the stars, weren't they? the sound of waves crashing on a beach began to grow the more they walked, leading for simba's attention to be grabbed as well as maverick's. it didn't take much for the two to start running towards the beach, maverick happily laughing in amazement. as she reached the sand, she was quick to drop all of her things in a pile and kick off her shoes, running quickly into the water until it reached her knees. "fuck!" she laughed, unaware that they were currently trespassing. "i didn't think we were ever gonna get to see a view like this, did you?" she called over to charlie. / rusty , but it has been awhile since i've written with her! also, please wait for vix to reply with charlie first! Re: i couldn't stop it if i wanted ┊ DOUBLE JOINING - OLLIE. - 05-16-2021 [align=center][div style="borderwidth; width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 14pt;"]What the hell had he gotten himself into? He's asked himself this question a lot these days. It was too late to go back to their settlement now. He knows that Aunt Hopps is probably worried sick, assumes the worst in the same way she had his father. He don't need to hear it to know it's true. At first, Charlie refused to believe it. Even if didn't always necessarily see eye to eye once Charlie, everyone kinda wants to believe that their parents are invincible. Not vulnerable. Not de- No. Even if it was true, he had his own to worry about. And for better or for worse, his own wasn't the only thing. Traveling with Maverick has been, well, a rollercoaster. When he failed to talk her out of tagging along, he hoped that eventually, he could dump her somewhere and call it a day. Of course, when it came to the other, it was never that way. She was persistent. Loyal to him . . . for some reason, and so goddamn annoying. Except, he isn't dumb, he knows why. And maybe he's gotten used to her. When Charlie looks at her , there's this undeniable force. His heart palpitates. And he feels things eugh.. Maybe some bought into the idea of love, played at that game like the bunch of fools they are but it obviously ain't work for his dad. Why would he be any different for him? It couldn't be anything other than a case of stockholm syndrome. He hasn't seen much more than her, after all. As they push forward, Charlie sheds his jean jacket, making no rush to catch up with his two companions. When it was play time, it was the best time— aka him time. Time to himself. The weather is warmer with a slight breeze to follow, indicating that there could be water nearby. Good. Charlie was on his last drops; if he was dehydrated any longer he fears that Simba's ball might to turn into something else. He's never hallucinated, of course, but he's heard it's a side effect. "Hey, Skip. Think we may have to start lookin' for water soon it's-" He's not even able to finish when Simba and Maverick bound off towards oblivion. "Aaaand she's gone. Sure, leave without me." He calls, heaving a sigh. His pace quickens slightly to observe what drew them away so quickly, only to see it: endless water far as the eye could see. He's heard about the ocean, but he's never been. All he knows is that dangerous creatures lurk it's waters, and could easily make Mav and Simba their victims. He watches the two, joyous and happy. Charlie's lips quirk briefly upwards but dissipates quickly. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he wanders closer, but not enough for the waves to reach them. "I've seen better views," he shrugs, face seemingly growing concerned. "It's probably not a good idea to stay in there too long. I read this book that said there's blood-thirsty fish whose favorite snacks are pint sized humans." He gives that infamous Charlie smirk; one Man knows all too well. Re: i couldn't stop it if i wanted ┊ DOUBLE JOINING - GREENIE. - 05-16-2021 [align=center][div style="width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 6pt; letter-spacing: 2.5px; word-spacing: 0px; line-height: 12px; color: #000"]Vernon knew a case of skinny love when he saw it. He couldn’t say that he knew much from experience in trying to repress his feelings — all relationships he’d ever been in either stemmed from the boldness of his humble and clownish advances, or from being naive about the other person’s feelings until they finally had the confidence to confide in him. He just thought: if you liked someone, then why wait? Perhaps situations were different for everyone — he had to acknowledge that as even his own past relationships had been so different from one another — and so perhaps that was why people chose to conceal their feelings. Perhaps they didn’t even know that they liked someone, even whilst their actions spoke volumes. Green could vividly recall the things he’d do for Mickey, and vice versa, without ever contemplating that perhaps his intense care for him was because he had, in fact, developed feelings. Emotions were not easy to understand, he’d have to admit. But sometimes an outsider’s perspective could really help open one’s eyes. When Green first spotted the duo on the beach, he initially assumed that they were together. The woman stood knee-deep in the ocean whilst the man stood on the shoreline to watch. Soon, Green began to approach with his hands in his pockets, Midas and Ginnie in tow as they scuttled behind him. As if to not frighten them, Green chose to keep his distance, clearing his throat before he announced with a small smile. ❝ This is one of the best times of the year to enjoy the ocean. Not too cold, but not to warm either. ❞ Fixing his baseball cap on his head, Green shifted from side to side before he said, ❝ You’ve reached Northstar District. We’re lucky enough to be able to wake up to this view every single day. ❞ |
