Don't come any closer//p Teddy - Shiloh ! - 11-29-2020 Salem knew there were better places to live. She'd heard of the prettier houses, the small but neat apartments--hell, she probably should've crashed at the hotel for the night. However, as she was making her way through the town for the first time, Saem couldn't help but be drawn in by the abandoned general store with the fading front sign. When she first entered, it was practically barren--only a few empty shelves and a counter where, presumably, a cash register once stood. Upon further notice, she realized that the basement would comfortably fit a blow up mattress and all of her belongings, while the attic would be ideal for growing her plants. Speaking of which, Salem was just rushing behind the counter, hiding her tobacco plants, when she saw Teddy approaching the store with boxes containing the few belongings she still had left. Except her jewels, of course. Those were still somewhere out of town; she figured the longer she waited to retrieve them the better. Salem finished tucking the tobacco under the counter before stepping in front of the door. She opened the creaky door, earning a weak ding from the old bell that hung above them. Status was important to him, and so was his home. And so, it was no surprise to find his abode right in the centre of all of the limelight. On the first floor of the hotel, his presidential suite was nearly too extravagant for a man who’d been raised on the wrong side of the tracks. But, Teddy wouldn’t want to have it any other way. After all, the view of the beach that he woke up to every morning couldn’t be topped by anything. Salem didn’t seem interested in all the opulence, which surprised Teddy. He thought all women liked a little bit of prosperity, did they not? But, Teddy would not care to comment at her choice in home — a simple skeleton of a general store. Whatever she pleased, he supposed. He’d still offer to help her move in; just another sweet touch for the ever-so-charming man. People liked a gentleman, so it was exactly what he’d do to capture the hearts of everyone around him. Wandering into the general store, Teddy huffed a long breath before lowering the box onto the floor nearby. ❝ That should do it. ❞ He brushed his hands off, looking down at the box before looking back towards Salem and cracking a short-lived smile. ❝ So, a general store… Are you sure you don’t want to move somewhere a little more… Established? ❞ He’d ask, just in case she felt like she’d be intruding otherwise. ❝ We have many vacant beach homes near my suite, ya know? ❞ Re: Don't come any closer//p Teddy - Shiloh ! - 12-04-2020 text a small everyone. | beware hidden scrolling |
