twenty-four hours and coffee // open - juliet s. - 06-11-2020

Time was just a construct, wasn't it? Odessa surely thought so, then again she also hadn't slept. She stayed awake, holding a flashlight as she read a book she found and took some interest in. Thus as soon as she heard others waking up, moving around. She turned off the flashlight to realize the sun was up. Ah, so it was morning. How lovely.

She got out of bed and of course, in the most Odessa fashion, walked out of her room still in her pajamas and beelined it to the coffee. She got the biggest mug she could find before pouring herself some and walking to the living room before taking a seat on the couch, crossing her legs. Odessa was quick to start drinking her coffee.

Dessa looked up hearing someone walk by "Morning" she greeted, though it was mostly said into her large mug before continuing to chug her caffeine. "Hey if you're going to the kitchen can you be super cool and like...bring me another thing of coffee?" In all honesty she'd likely drink it directly from the pot if she was allowed to, but at this point, she wanted all the coffee she could get. She had to stay awake so she could crash later.

The bags under her eyes probably said enough for her, that she hadn't slept.

no matter how long richard slept in, he would still be slow to get up in the mornings. it wasn’t that he had much better to do in the mornings. he wanted to pull his weight around the lodge, though there was always plenty of time in the afternoon to get to it. most of his mornings were spent staying in bed, occasionally grumbling at the reminder that he had to get up at some point.

reluctant as he could be, and slow as he could be in the mornings, all of that usually changed after a cup or two of coffee. surely enough that was exactly what he planned to do once he got dressed for the day, heading out of his room and straight towards the kitchen. guess he wasn’t the only one with the same idea. if anything, she’d already beaten him to it.

glancing towards odessa, he raised his brows. another cup? he nodded as he strolled through. “yeah, sure.” it was only on the way back, two cups of coffee in hand - a fresh cup for her and one for himself - that he noticed the bags under her eyes. “here.” he handed her one before he settled down in a chair, taking a sip of his own. “couldn't sleep?” he asked, lifting his gaze back over to her with slight curiosity.
