Yo, so there's a thread I did once long ago on feralfront and I feel like the time has come for me to...revamp it, make it better, and try again. I'll probably be trying this on multiple sites to try and see if problems with it are due to activity or writing flaws, just kind of workshopping it cause it's something I've always been really into.
It would be halfway between a typical rp on here and something with more of a ... narrator/gm vibe, from me. Because it's a mystery, and that's a mystery the players/characters genuinely need to solve, I'd be keeping secrets etc and private notes to myself, dropping clues, et cetera.
It would not be like a dice, pen and paper type of game; no rolling or skill checks etc, it's all focused on writing.
Anyway. The overall setting would be, at first glance, modern realism. A group of characters have amnesia and are in an extremely secluded forested mountain. There are other characters who help them and likely seem like they know more than you about what's going on. I can say that it isn't entirely realistic; there will be elements of scifi/fantasy.
