Welcome to Chinatown, the massive tourist trap of cheap trinkets and traditional, fresh food. We are The Black Dragons, the counterpart of the gang that once roamed these alleys. After they left, we remained, and continue to manipulate the current of tourists and produce to provide for our own gang. Living here is hard, and fitting in with the small streets and colorful decoration isn't hard; often times our members wear strips of cloth or clothes as to better fit in if necessary. We hold our own, and are used to fighting off the human authorities, and rats that plague us. Despite the city surrounding us, there are sewers easily traversed to exit and enter our territory, connecting us with the outside world. We'll treat you with respect, but if you mess with us, and we'll put you in your place.

As a maze of alleys and buildings, the territory may seem small to any outsiders who come in, but we take control of the rooftops and sewers to expand our territory vertically rather than horizontally. Not all of the buildings that the humans occupy are useful to us, but we have clearly marked those that are, and teach our new members the right from the wrong. We make our home on the top of one of the taller apartments, above a restaurant that sells buffet food to tourists. The path up is not difficult, but hard to find if it's unknown.

The Black Dragon's accept any kind of religions anyone has! They themselves do not have a specific religion!

Mentorship ❂ In the Black Dragons, the gang itself takes responsibility for the young ones. Raid Bosses are in charge of overseeing that training is being done, and often order groups of Roof Hoppers to train the young ones one day, and an Alley Runner the next. This gives the young ones a wide look on what they can become in the clan, and be able to make choices for themselves to train towards one talent or another. Often, large sessions are held for all young ones each week or even twice each week. Individual Mentors is seen as isolating and is looked down upon when training Young Ones.

The Purging ❂ Due to the intense amounts of vermin that plague the territory, the Raid Boss and Guard Boss often come together each month or so to destroy any rats they find, and do a checkup on everyone for festering bites or wounds. This is a solid assurance of safety and well being for the Gang.

The New Year ❂ With the humans, the gang celebrates the Chinese New Year each year with great feasts and lanterns. They often invite allies and share the experience with others.

R A N K S
Boss ❂ The leader of the group, who doesn't quite control everything, but certainly oversees that things are in order, and being done correctly. They may be super influential, or stand back and let the gang lead itself. Either way, they have the last say.

Raid Boss ❂ They are put in charge of assaults and defense. Should the clan need to fight off rats, humans, or battle for more supplies, the Raid Boss is in charge wither with or without the Boss, according to orders. They are also put to the task of training the gang and are one of the two in line to becoming the next Boss.

Guard Boss ❂ High positions that are put in charge of safety and alliance duties. They should make sure there is enough food, medicine, water, and shelter for the clan. They must also deal with peaceful affairs, either with or without the Boss, according to orders. They are one of the two in line to becoming the next Boss.

Sewer Guard ❂ As a high position, the Sewer Guard are strong fighters with good knowledge of battle and defense, who guard the sewers and often lead small raid parties. They are highly responsible for dealing with rats, humans, and going out to aid other clans when they need help. These guards often take up night shifts, and also smell rancid, due to their positions patrolling the Sewers.

Broker ❂ A High position as negotiator, someone who is highly trusted to be able to deal with the many house-cats and shop-cats that live in the buildings around Chinatown. When a store has something that the gang needs, but there is not a way for the Alley Runners to easily get it, such as a shop with a guardian Shop Cat, or a hostile House-cat, a Broker is brought in. A Broker trades and discusses with the owned-cats to keep the clan safe, and get some important medicines when necessary. Brokers also are often out of the city in other allied clans, discussing benefits and politics. They are the group a Boss often chooses from to find the next Guard Boss.

Alley Runner ❂ A scout, and a semi-high position in the gang. They often are pulled up to Sewer Guard or sometimes even Raid Boss, if there are no Sewer Guards, after hard work. The Alley Runners are gang members who show exemplary skills in obtaining food, medicine, and anything else the gang might need from the streets below. They also must report to the Sewer Guard at any signs of hostility in the territory, such as rats and human authority. They are between fighters and providers for the gang.

Roof Hopper ❂ A medic, and a semi-high position in the gang. They are often upon the rooftops and scavenging the rooftop gardens for herbs and medicines. They take care of the clan, and are often called on into being Brokers for the clan, or Guard Bosses, if there are no Brokers. They deal with the clans internal issues and are in charge of keeping the peace. Often times, they also guard any prisoners that may be there.

Street Rats ❂ The regular name that the Bosses have taken to calling their gang members. They are trained young ones who have not proven themselves to move up to a specific higher position, or someone who is extremely well rounded and the Boss doesn't know where they would be most useful. Often times, when this is the case, Street Rats are given a decision.

Young Ones ❂ The youngest of the clan, either just born, or six months old, they are too young to train, or in training to become a certified Street Rat!

The Black Dragons try to stay to themselves, but often times they need outside help with herbs or if they get infested with rats. This forces at least some interaction, which they have accepted with open arms. Most of the foreign policy has to do with respect; despite differences in clans, if respect is given between the Black Dragons and another group, then support is given. If not, then there will be problems.

R U L E S
IC Rules
❂ The Boss has final say in almost everything. All higher ups should report any major activities to the Boss.
❂ When a new Boss arrises, they may choose who they see fit to rise up to Raid Boss or Guard Boss. Those in the higher positions have a much higher chance to be chosen, and it is encouraged that the new Boss promote their loyalty and talent first and foremost.
❂ All Young Ones should be fed first; No young one or nursing mother will ever be fed a rat.
❂ Respect is huge; any one who profusely disrespects someone in the clan, or harms another in the clan is more often than not, exiled.
❂ There is nothing against being apart of the clan as a shop-cat or house-cat. There is also nothing against having children with them.
❂ Out of clan litters are not frowned upon, but the Gang will insist on keeping and raising the children; if necessary, they may even fight for it.
❂ Being apart of two clans is frowned upon. Loyalty to the Gang is first and foremost.

OOC Rules
❂ If there are any questions, concerns, or issues, PLEASE MESSAGE THE BOSS OR THEIR ROLEPLAYER. Bosses are taking care of the clan and their roleplayers as a whole, and want to solve any ic or ooc concerns that are under their jurisdiction, or if they can not, make sure it gets to the staff.
❂ Remember that drama is good in small amounts! Drama inside of the clan is great, so long as it doesn't get out of hand and hurt more than it does help! OOC Drama is something we want to avoid all together, so please talk to one another, and be compassionate. Everyone loves their characters, after all.
❂ All Bearbones rules always apply, of course!
F A Q
❂ Can I Join?
Of course you can! You can either jump right into any threads here, or mark a joining thread with 'TBD', 'BD' or 'The Black Dragons'! We're always welcoming new members!

❂ Can I be a High Position?
The First step to becoming a high position is joining the clan as a regular member! If you are active and participate, the Boss will recognize your effort and you can start being promoted!

❂ So to be promoted I have to be active and participate?
That's right! Depending on the Boss, if your character fits their criteria for what they are looking for in high positions, you'll be rising to the top with hard work! You have to make sure you're nice ooc too, because helpful and nice is always good!

❂ I'm the Boss now! I'm here to take over your clan!
Please contact the Boss or their roleplayer if you want to have any plots having to do with taking over! You should always ask.

❂ Where are we supposed to Roleplay? It's the Loner Lands!
You can just make a thread marked 'TBD', 'BD', or The Black Dragons! Everyone will see it, especially if you post the link in our 'Thread Tracker'! There will also be a 'Camp Roleplay Thread' linked soon in the guide!

❂ So if you're in Chinatown, does that mean that you guys roleplay humans?
Nope! Like any fox, badger, or wolf, the humans are predators and the Gang has to be very cautious of them.

❂ What are Shop-Cats and House-Cats? Can I be one?
Like Rogues, Shop-Cats and House-Cats are cats who are not in the clan, but are abundant around the territory; much more so than any loner in the wild. Shop-Cats are the cats that some human shop owners have in their stores. They chase out mice, and the Gang cats who try stealing from them. We have to be careful of them, because they're stronger than the House-Cats. House-Cats are only ever an issue if we need to steal from the apartments! And you can totally be one! You can even be a Shop-Cat or House-Cat who has joined the Gang, but doesn't want to leave their humans. These cats help out the gang by looking the other way when they're stealing, or help them by putting out herbs or food where they're easily gotten. They're welcome in and out of the camp!

❂ Can I be a dragon, fox, wolf, dog, etc?
Of course you can, but keep in mind that it's very difficult to be in the middle of a city with a very large animal! The Humans could really hurt you, and the Gang wants to make sure everyone is safe. You can always prowl the sewers and alleys in the day, and the streets at night!

❂ I have another question!
[i]Please ask! We want to make sure everything is clear and easy to understand!
