Hi and welcome! If you've got a mercenary type character, or are looking for a unique character bonding experience, this may be right up your alley.

For background, Salem is the former captain of a pirate ship called the Darius II. He was overthrown after eleven years serving as captain, and now his old ship is run by Captain Shire. Salem's out for blood now, and everybody on his old crew is on his hit list.

He has managed to map out a route to one of the meetup spots where the crew of the Darius II sells loot, and is planning a trip over to pay his crew a visit. He's looking for 1-2 people from the Badlands to accompany him, and the mission objective is to get to the meetup, and slaughter anybody there.

ICly the trip will take about five days (two days travel to the meetup, a day spent at the meetup and two days travel back to the Badlands) and it's easy to assume the mission will be dangerous.
Please specify beforehand what sorts of injuries your character can take during the fight, and what isn't allowed. This will be a gunfight, so at the very least your character may get grazed by bullets if they don't get shot.

The IC rewards for helping are as follows:
— A sense of accomplishment
— In-roleplay combat experience that can be used to exemplify your character's fighting prowess
— Salem's gratitude and trust
— Anything your character loots from the location (Weapons, supplies, etc) I will pay for anything that needs to be bought from the BB shop

As for meta game knowledge, I'll give some basic info on the people they'll be seeing / fighting at the meetup location.

RULES:
I know there are a bunch but stick with me here.

1. Please don't sidetrack the private thread too badly!
   
2. Don't jump on this plot if you are unwilling to let your character obtain any injuries / get hurt in any way
   
3. I will be controlling the NPCs to keep things on track, so please don't say "My character ran up and stabbed their knife into the side of Stephen's neck, killing him near instantly"; I promise to be fair when having the NPCs take hits or dodge, but it's no real fun if there isn't an actual fight
   
4. The private thread will be essentially "turn based", where you reply after everybody else has replied to your previous post. Ex: Example person 1 posts, then example person 2 posts, then example person 3 posts, and then it's back to example person 1. This is to let everybody engage so nobody gets left behind.
   
5. If you're part of the private thread and don't respond for more than 1 week when it's your turn, you will be skipped in the order and may jump back in at any point BUT you will be assumed to be MIA until then.
