❪ [abbr=PM TO PLOT.]* ・ ☾ [/abbr] ❫              Claws of ivory color , sink deep into the damp earth of marshland , clumps of wet soil gathering beneath her toes as lean , yet powerful muscles flexed beneath a sleek pelt of bronze fur kissed by vibrant rays of light that warmed the atmosphere . Oceanic jewels were narrowed in steady concentration , gaze captured on the compact figure of a common field mouse rustling through the underbrush without care , having not scent the striped feline who sat crouched a couple of tail-lengths away . Her breath comes even , chest rising and falling in steady motion as not to disturb focus , and down , Sunpaw flattens herself against the terrain , the soft fur of her belly , lightly brushing against the grass as she slowly inches forward with wavering grace .

Her features are written with determination , seen in the way slender whiskers are twitching with anticipation , the subtle lash of her tail , and a clenched jaw ; the tip of her tongue , shaded pink , slyly peeking from her lip as well . She's been tracking this mouse for a good few minutes now , having been curiously observing the rodent shuffling along the leaves in search of an early morning meal moments before , and well , she figured she needed something to keep her occupied . And yeah , while the apprentices' den provided a warm comfort along with her nest ; awaiting her friend , Robinpaw , to return from his morning patrols to find that she had stuffed his bed with pebbles and clumps of water-soaked grass , had grown rather tiresome despite the usual devious pleasure she'd feel when drinking in the shocked look that burdened his face whenever he went to lay down .

Waiting was oh-so boring , and so , she wouldn't . Not when her paws were itching for a little more action to partake in , or , a little more trouble to stir up ; and if anyone else weren't willing to ease her restlessness , she'd find something that would —- using this very mouse as a prime example . Creeping nearer with each dwindling second , slim shoulders wiggle in preparation to pounce before long back legs kick off the ground in a fluid stride of motion , front paws outstretched , and claws unsheathed glistening by the sun's touch . Gotcha ! Boastful grin curls around dark lips , and a huff of triumph expels from her lungs as a looming shadow engulfs the unsuspecting mouse in darkness ; that is , until , in a tangled blur of legs and fur , Sunpaw goes tumbling through the moor , tripped over her own paws in a flurry of excitement , causing the mouse to scurry through the grass in terror and away from its attacker , far into the brush were dusty brown fur could no longer be distinguished .

A soft grunt escapes her chest as she skids across the earthen floor , shaking her cranium in order to regain complete consciousness from the fall before bouncing back to her paws as if nothing had happened . Azure orbs are held now wide , mouth slightly parted as she's drowned in sudden confusion , in search of the mouse she had allowed to escape due to her clumsiness , and she turns back in forth in a frantic manner . D'aw . . Did it get away ? The once exultant expression painted across her face was beginning to wash into one of mild disappointment , and an half-erased sigh floats through the wind as her tail droops in defeat and ears flatten against her head . ❝ Damnit ! ❞ With a pitched whine and the tight furrow her brows , a dramatic pout adorns her maw and she gives a small sniff of exasperation , flopping back to rest on her haunches , clearly dissatisfied .

Re: ❪ NO GOOD ┊ INTRO ❫ - THORNTONGUE - 06-27-2018

[align=center][align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]"Language." Thorntongue says, aware of how hypocritical it sounds coming from him. He doesn't use the words that he refers to as "kittypet language," it only escapes him when he's really mad. The medicine cat peers at the younger cat, unimpressed at the failed hunt. It got better, he knew that. But for now, it was just another apprentice alone, without their mentor. Not that he hadn't left camp without permission a few times, but not often, not in broad daylight certainly. Thorntongue had been sneakier than that, but still Stripedwhisker had always found out. It was infuriating, and Thorntongue had chosen to give up on the sneaking life instead of figuring out how Stripedwhisker knew each time.

"What are you doing out here without your mentor?" Thorntongue asks sharply, pale eyes narrowing. "Unless they're somewhere around the bend that I don't know about.." They're not gonna, of course. This is an apprentice he's talking about, either they're bound to the hip, or sneaking away from their mentor. This would never change, just apprentices would learn different ways of how to do it.

[align=center][div style="width: 400px; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial; text-align:justify; "]Kittypet language always confused him; they always sounded strange to his ears and foreign. He wondered how Sunpaw knew that one, but before she could get in worse trouble, Fennelpaw slips out of the brush, the prey between his jaws clenched tight. He hoped that sticking his tail out for the she-cat wouldn't backfire.

He sets the vole down before quickly mewing to the medicine cat, "It's alright, Thorntongue." The apprentice flicks his tail easily behind him. "My mentor gave both of us permission to go out on our own." It wasn't necessarily a lie, if it was half of the truth - Fennelpaw had permission to be out of camp, but he had no clue about Sunpaw. None-the-less, he felt guilty. He didn't want Whiskernose to find out about this. But apprentices needed to stick together, didn't they?
