PETER || [abbr=acquaintance]♥[/abbr] [abbr=likes]♥[/abbr]
Burnabee easily starts without hesitating, slipping into an easy feeling. For once, the words come easy. "I like Peter a lot, actually. I'm a little surprised, to be honest. He isn't really the kind of guy I'd find myself wanting to be friends with." A small smile slips across the teenagers face, unbidden. "But he's funny, in a jokey way, and he's nice when he talks to me." The boy pauses, clearly filtering his next words in his head with the way his face is thoughtful. "And he's really...open about his feelings, ya know? Not like— not like me." That was one thing that Burnabee liked—admired, even—about Peter, how he candidly showed his feelings and the people of the lodge liked him, regardless of that. Many people found it best to shove their feelings down and let them come up in unhealthy ways, and he found himself doing it, too.
GRAY || [abbr=neutral]♥[/abbr] [abbr=unsure of]♥[/abbr]
He's careful about his words, thinking through as he speaks. "He can come off as a little mean, but I don't mind him. I don't want to cross him so I'm kind-of staying out of his way." A hand slides up to his neck, rubbing the area as he ducks his head. "I mean, I understand, the way he is. He's like me, and keeps his feelings in check. He's more dogged about it, though. Defensive, almost?" Burnabee isn't too sure of his own conclusion and shakes his head. "We could be friends." Maybe, if he tried a little harder, then it could happen.
LORELAI || [abbr=neutral]♥[/abbr] [abbr=unsure of]♥[/abbr] [abbr=getting to know them]♥[/abbr]
"I don't believe I've had a one-on-one conversation with her, but I know that she's outgoing, like Peter." He crosses his arms. "When I first met her, I think I didn't like her, but now I see that she's nice." Finally, the point he wanted to reach comes up. "She's...hard to read. I don't know her angle yet." He realizes how that might sound and waves his hands, almost sheepish. "Sorry. I think I just need to get to know her a little better, before I can really decide what she's like."
BRUCE || [abbr=respects]♥[/abbr] [abbr=likes]♥[/abbr]
His eyebrows raise at the mention of the man's name. "Oh, he's sort-of intimidating, isn't he? Win's intimidating too, but. He's different." It's clear that he's struggling to explain, in the way his eyebrows scrunch. "What I mean is, I'm not intimidated of him at all times, but if he raised his voice, I'd probably shake in fear for whoever made him yell." A little laugh escapes him. "He's kind of...warm, in a way, too." He gives a noncommitting shrug. "I like him. I respect him, and he's nice all around."
SAM || [abbr=likes]♥[/abbr] [abbr=respect]♥[/abbr] [abbr=intimidated by]♥[/abbr]
"She's tough and...I'm a little intimidated by her because she could probably beat me up if she really wanted too." He chuckles, the sound low and rounded when it comes from him; he accompanies it with a faint almost-smile. "She's fine. I don't mind her." Burnabee licks his lips. "I hope her leg gets better, though. I don't really know what happened to it but sometimes, I can see her limping on it. I'd ask her how she got it but—" He shrugged. "—she probably wouldn't give me a straight answer."
