She licked his head, nuzzling close to him. Ten glanced over at Carl. He blinked. “This is Sarah. She’s a vet. She’s going to stay here and keep an eye on Shiva until she’s fully healed.†Ten said. Sarah saved.

Shiva purred, licking his head softly. She glanced over when her cub bounded outside. It let out a few happy mews, moving over. Shiva pulled away from Carl, moving iverto the cub. She started licking his head asthe cub brushed against Shiva

he hissed. "that's for leaving without a single god damned word!" he snapped and then kicked him in the shin. "that's for making me think you just ran the fuck away without at least saying goodbye!" he then went for the other shin. "and that's for making me think you might have killed her and then ran off!"

Ten merely raised a hand, setting it on his shoukder. “I’m sorry Carl...I knew how defensive you were getting about her. What I did was wrong, I know. I’m sorry I should have said something to you. But...Sarah said within a week Shiva will be fully healed and back to her old self. She’s okay, Carl.†He murmured
