Like maybe one of his parent's is a teacher
One of them are open minded and therefore kind of helped faolan maybe even helped ur character
I see ur character either socially awkward, even worse than faolan in a sense ??
While faolan is capable of being social, there are times he just doesn't like to and has trouble of keeping stable relationships as he just ?? doesn't like people ?? and rlly has some sort of underlying fear
I would say maybe he plays a sport or if not maybe faolan does so one or the other can attend each other's games

yes maybe he has a bit of a secret issues
like tries to cure it with a drug or alcohol addiction
like no one knows how bad it is
and it affects his dancing

do you even realize the full extent of what you just did
ok so maybe he like,, has an addiction to dilaudid, which is a (physical) pain medicine?? and like he obvs has side effects bc he's abusing the drug and it starts affecting his dancing and overall performance anywhere in daily life bc he gets lots of dizzy spells and nausea and other symptoms and he sometimes takes to drinking too and what have you done vix look what you did

I AM SO SORRY BUT YES IT ACTUALLY WORKS WITH EVERYTHING IT MAKES SENSE. Faolan start to suspect something but doesn't say anything for awhile and the thing about Faolan is that he takes to finding out things for himself if no one admits things to him so,,,, he'd probably bring a bottle of wine to his dorm and when he's passed out he finds the medication and kind of puts two and two together, even if it's medication he regularly takes or not whoops
