Daryl blinked. He glanced down for a moment before meeting his gaze. "I never had to." Daryl murmured. He rubbed Carl's shoulder gently. "He and I, we just had that understanding. That was one of those things we never had to say out loud. You know us both. To Rick and I, actions always spoke louder then words. Rick shows his love for me everyday. It never had to be anything big. Even the smallest subtle hints were enough for me. The same went for me. I showed him I loved him through what I did." He said.

He smiled softly. "Who said you had to be touchy in a relationship. Not every relationship has to be shown through touch, Carl. Sometimes, the touches two people share dont mean as much as that silent understanding. We shared occasional hugs. And I cherished them. But, we both had a deep love for each other that didnt have to be physically shown." he said.

He blinked, nodding. "Once or twice." He said. He blinked. "...I'm sorry Rick isn't here anymore, Carl. I'm trying to raise you as I know Rick would. Hell I may not be doing the best job. But...I know he'd be proud of you." He said.
