Will add more details since what I thought of so far was just simple, and I might use it for Komorebi, so yeeeeeeet
[spoiler=tw for mentions of deaths / murders / & suicides ( specifically by hanging )]With the blackout happening, I was thinking about how there's a cult, and these people, the Light Bringers, who are part of it worships this solar Deity, known as the Red Son, to get electricity back again. Originally, it was a peaceful group who would just take care of plants, however, as years goes on, desperation rose ( pun not intended ), and it has been decided that sacrifices must be made.
On the last week of August, there'd be a festival to honor the Red Son—where people would have their biggest meal, tell their fondest memories in the gathering circle, create bonfires and throw stones with their names carved over, and many more. At the last day, there will be six people in the cult who either volunteered to commit suicide by hanging or destined to be sacrificed, coming from the prophecies that given to the Oracles. Those who died at the end would be cremated and have their ashes buried with seeds, which once the flowers grew, the loved ones of the sacrificed people would cut themself with a warm knife so they can stain the plants with their blood to express their respect to them.
My mind is a bit all over the place right now, but, yeah, consider this a wip until I feel motivated to think more about this hot ( pun intended this time ) mess[/spoiler]
