i think it extends beyond just the music but that's one of the ways parents tend to continue to treat us as if we were 4 and i feel it only worsens the closer you get to eighteen cuz it's another way they try to control and micromanage our lives idk. but my mom does the same thing and i'm like "can you not"
in short: parents should loosen the reins on their kids in regards to music and shit cuz it only makes us more rebellious and more likely to act out and yeah
